Meet The Lahdidah's

Anna is an actor, clown, theatre-maker, writer and singer from Derbyshire. She's currently working on her debut solo show, The Hat of Many Hats, whilst training to become a healthcare clown aka a giggle doctor, with Theodora Children's Charity.

With The Lahdidahs, Anna is very happy to combine her history of choir singing and lead band vocals to apply herself to a totally new context of three-part harmony singing. She's often felt like she was born in the wrong era, so this is her way of time-travelling!

Becky’s love of 1940s music came from her Grandparents, and she is always proud to pay tribute to her Grandad, Private Trevor Barnett, who parachuted into Arnhem with the 10th Parachute Battalion during Operation Market Garden in September 1944. You'll often see Becky's Dad and Aunties dancing away at our gigs (the love of 40's music runs deep). Becky isn't so great at dancing (she will admit that) but always dreamed of being part of a three-part harmony trio.​

Becky dabbles in guitar and piano and enjoys writing and performing ridiculous ballads for any occasion.  By day she is a Proposals Manager in the transport industry and most importantly she is Mum to Georgia, age 5.

Bridget is our manager, choreographer, and chief organiser - the one herding cats, making a mean picnic and making sure we all know what we're doing!

Bridget’s been performing since the age of four, when she first took to the stage as a Bluebird. She went on to achieve her LAMDA Silver Medal in Acting and RAD Intermediate Ballet, alongside years of musical theatre, dance, and panto appearances. Bridget referes to herself as a “geriatric ballerina” but she is still running rings around the rest of us!

Bridget has over 20 years’ experience in hospitality, including organising events, working on more than 200 weddings, and spending time in Michelin-starred establishments - skills she now puts to very good use keeping everything (and everyone) running smoothly.​

Kate is currently on maternity leave and was a bit too preoccupied to provide us with information for her bio. We were going to make something up but Kate is too fab to subject to that!

Rebekah trained at the International College of Musical Theatre in London and has since enjoyed a varied performing career, from immersive theatre such as The Polar Express Experience and ScareFest at Alton Towers to performing in new musicals 'High School Never Ends' (Camberwell) and 'The Local' (Edinburgh Fringe).

As a vocalist, Rebekah has specialised in singing in care and residential homes for 11 years and her love of his work and the songs of the 40's and 50's brought her to The Lahdidahs. As a newer member she is incredibly excited to be performing these songs together with such a talented group.

When not singing and performing, Rebekah is a mum to two boys and two sausage dogs. She enjoys crochet, travelling, and coffee.

Tara is a Chief Information Officer by day, swapping spreadsheets for soprano at the weekend. She is the brains and the beauty of the group, with a long pedigree of performance covering everything from musical theatre to burlesque.

Tara's love of vintage music comes from singing with her Dad, who lived through World War 2. She is one of the longest serving members of The Lahdidahs and is a Mum to one daughter. Tara is notoriously hard to photograph which is a shame as she puts a great deal of effort into her vintage hairstyles!

Simon is our notoriously grumpy 'sound guy' and roadie.
